The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC) is a newly launched not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and recognize purchasing leadership that accelerates the transition to a prosperous and sustainable future.The Council has representation from several dozen global companies, government agencies, civic associations, and non-profit organizations, and works with them to prioritize opportunities to influence the social, environmental and economic life cycle impacts of purchased goods and services.It also serves to identify existing leadership standards and benchmark progress toward goals.
