Forest Ethics Corporate Dialogs on Canadian Tar Sands

Winter 2012 • Bellingham, WA

Forest Ethics has been highly successful in its campaign to convince major North American companies to change their fuel procurement from Tar Sands oil to other, cleaner sources. Since their campaign of corporate dialog started in 2008 with support from Blackstone Ranch Institute and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, they have enlisted the support of a growing number of major brand name companies that include Walgreens, Gap, Levi Strauss and Co., Trader Joe’s, Avon, Liz Claiborne, Fedex, Whole Foods, and Chiquita. All of them have agreed to alter their fuel procurement policies as a result of the campaign.

Blackstone Ranch Institute has provided further funding to continue the corporate dialogs with an expanding group of companies.
